Lemoore Scholarships
The scholarships listed below are available to West Hills College Lemoore students. The criteria for each scholarship is listed as well.
All scholarships are awarded on a two semester basis with one half being paid on the first day of each semester upon verification of enrollment
Alda Diniz Memorial Scholarship
Five annual scholarships in the amount of $300
- Students must be registered in 12+ units
- A minimum GPA of 2.5
AP Architects Scholarship
Four annual scholarships in the amount of $250 each
- Student must be registered in 12+ units
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Business major
Bernard Osher Scholarship
Up to 16 scholarships in amounts of up to $1,000
- Students must have completed 24 or more “degree applicable” semester units (or the equivalent) at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement
- Student must be enrolled in at least six or more units during all terms in which the award remains active
- Student must receive a CCC Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver
- Awards will be adjusted on enrolled status and determined as follows:
- Full-time(12 or more units per term) = up to $500/ semester
- Three-quarter-time (9-11.99 units per term)= up to $375/ semester
- Half-time (6-8.99 units per term)= up to $250/semester
- Students may apply for the scholarship a second year
Steve Blanco Jr. Memorial Scholarship
One scholarship of $300 available to a student at any WHCCD location
- Must be registered in 12+ units
- Open to university bound or vocational students
- Preferred student who is involved with issues related to first generation Latino males
- Financial need
Community Education (Lemoore)
Two annual scholarships in the amount of $250 each
- Must be a registered incoming freshman current, or transferring West Hills College Lemoore student
- Must be registered in (6+units) at WHCL
- Student must have a 2.5 or higher GPA
Engineering Scholars Program

Gary Scherer Book Voucher Scholarship
One annual scholarship in the amount of a $250 book voucher
- Student must be registered full time (12+units) at WHC Lemoore
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
- CIS majors preferred
Single Parent Scholarship
One annual scholarship of $500 awarded district-wide
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Preference given to students who are single fathers or involved in issues related to single fathers
Yenger Endowed Scholarship
One annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000
- Student must be a full time (12+ units), second year student at WHC Lemoore
- Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above
WHCL Culinary Arts
One annual scholarship in the amount of $500
- Student must be enrolled full-time in WHCL and enrolled in 6+ WHCL Culinary classes.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5
Foundation Book Voucher Scholarship
Two $150 book voucher scholarships
- Students must be registered full time (12+ units) at WHCL
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required
Lemoore Kiwanis Club
One scholarship in the amount of $600
- Students must be enrolled full-time (12+units)
- A minimum GPA of 2.5
- Preferred: Students in financial need and;
- involved in campus activities or organizations
- or assisted college staff
- or are involved in athletics
- Awarded to continuing or transfer students only (to a four year college)
Norine Oliver Memorial Scholarship
One scholarship for a WHCL student in the amount of $1000
- Students must be registered full-time (12+ units)
- Scholarships will be awarded to university bound students only
- Students must be a continuing or transfer student (to a four year college)
- A minimum GPA of 2.5
- Student must be majoring in one of the following: Education, Poli Science, History or Social Science
Teresa Anne Mendes Memorial
One annual scholarship in the amount of $1000. Must be a Riverdale High School student planning to attend any WHC location
- Student must be enrolled full-time (12+ units)
- Student must be an entering freshman from Riverdale High School
- Student must have a GPA of 3.2
WHCL General Scholarship
Nine annual scholarships--one in the amount of $400 and eight in the amount of $200 each
- Students must be enrolled part-time (6+ units) or full-time (12+ units) at WHC Lemoore
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required
- Entering freshman or continuing or transferring students only (to a four year college)
Nick and Edna Ivans Scholarship
One scholarship in the amount of $150 paid to a student at any WHCCD location
- Student must be enrolled full time (12+ units)
- Scholarship must be awarded to university bound students only
- Student must be a continuing or transfer student only (to a four year college)
- Business or science majors preferred
Padilla Family Scholarship
One annual scholarship in the amount of $300 available for student at any WHCCD location
- Student must be enrolled full-time (12+ units) at WHC
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Avenal High School graduate
Robert and Collette Keller Book Voucher Scholarship
One annual book voucher scholarship in the amount of $250
- Student must be registered full-time (12+ units) at WHCC
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Watts Family Scholarship
Two annual scholarship in the amount of $600 are available for students at any WHCCD location
- Student must be enrolled full time (12+ units) at WHC
- Minimum GPA 3.0 required
- Scholarship is for university bound student only
- Child Development major
Woodson Memorial Scholarship
One annual scholarship in the amount of $150.00 for a student at any WHCCD location
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Science major
- Students must be registered full time (12+ units) at WHC
CSEA Scholarship
One scholarship per year in the amount of $500
- parents must work for WHCC
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
West Hills College Faculty Scholarship
One scholarship in the amount of $500
- Must be incoming freshman or current registered student
- Preferred applicant to be an immediate family member of a WHCCD employee
